We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself:

Hello! My name is Petra and I am an artist based in Split, Croatia. I love making illustrations inspired by travel locations, tropical beaches and everyday life moments.

Q: How would you describe your design style?


My design style can be described as colorful, uplifting, and eclectic with attention to details. I use bright and vibrant colored shapes to create playful scenes.

Q: How have your personal experiences or personality influenced your design ideas?

Growing up in the Mediterranean, traveling, and enjoying summertime have shaped my design ideas. My work radiates a sunny, dreamy, Mediterranean spirit!

Q: How do you incorporate your personal style into home design projects?

I love bringing an artistic touch to everyday objects. It adds something meaningful to daily life. I also found myself changing the artworks in frames quite often to refresh the space!

Q: What drew you to collaborate with our rug brand?

Seeing Lany Space’s unique carpets and amazing artist collaborations really inspired me. I love how art transforms carpets into something special. It’s like a fluffy canvas viewed from above!

Lany Space rugs are truly eye-catching. They’re more than just carpets! The style is playful, bold, and modern, and I love how the different shapes perfectly complement the designs.

The collection is vibrant and uplifting, designed to bring a Mediterranean feel into everyday decor with a modern and playful twist.

Q: Among the pieces in these collections, which design is your favorite, and why?

I would say it is an Italian City piece. It feels like a little escape to the coast every time I see it, and I love how it brings that joyful, sunny energy into any space.
